“Miguel and Mafalda's beautiful Fox House exceeds expectations in every possible way. The pictures don't do the place justice. Every aspect of the property has been beautifully curated to create the ultimate vacation destination. Miguel and Mafalda were amazing from check in to arranging private dinners and wine tours to the babysitting service they arranged for our kids that was more like an ultimate summer camp than babysitting. We were 3 families travelling together with 6 kids total and The Fox House was perfect. The daily breakfast spread with beautiful fresh fruit, pastries and coffee served al fresco under the pergola was the perfect way to start each day. Thank-you again for an amazing trip. My only warning is that once you stay here it may ruin you for all other vacations. It will be hard to find a nicer place than the Fox House.

The venue hosts, Mafalda & Miguel, are extremely friendly and very professional! They made this experience incredible from start to finish. The wedding day was more gorgeous and perfect then we could have ever hoped: the location is stunning, the catering the Fox House partners is wonderful and the overall atmosphere is magical."

Séjour exceptionnel. Une maison de caractère au cœur d’un jardin magique, immense, entouré d’une forêt luxuriante qui à lui seul vaut le séjour. Un moment de calme au cœur d’une région peu touristique qui permet pourtant de nombreuses activités (rando dont certaines passent à côté de la maison, canoë, vélo, termes…). En voiture vous n’êtes pas si loin de Porto (1:30) ou de Coimbra. Ajoutez à cela des hôtes incroyables et prévenants… Cette expérience a été pour nous une incroyable surprise lors de notre séjour avec l’envie forcément de revenir…

“We had a wonderful stay at The Fox House. Mafalda & Miguel were outstanding hosts, helped with anything you could think of, organized a day-trip for us and gave a lot of recommendations. Dinner with the chef was amazing, breakfast and cleaning services are very comfortable and well worth it! They are a heartwarming couple and have created a truly beautiful place.
